Endowed Lecture held at Dr. M.G.R. University

The 1st Hiyoshi Endowed Lecture was held at Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute (“Dr. M.G.R University”) in Chennai, India.
This endowed lecture was held as part of a project led by the governments of Japan and India to educate human resources in the manufacturing industry in India. At the same time, the lecture was held as part of the “Make in India” and “Skill India” which are the main pillars of the economic policy advocated by Prime Minister Modi of India. In accordance with the main pillars of “Make in India” and “Skill India” this program was implemented based on the “Memorandum of Understanding on the Program to Promote Manufacturing Skill Transfer” signed in November 2016 by then METI Minister Seko and Ambassador Chinoy. Furthermore, this endowed course was made possible through an introduction by Mr. Sriram, Vice President of the Tamil Nadu Center of the ABK-AOTS Alumni Association.
The lecturers included Dr. Rangana, President of ABK-AOTS Alumni Association of India, Dr. M.G.R. University professors, and Hiyoshi India staff members who gave lectures on practical skills in environmental analysis and maintenance management. Seven lecturers from Hiyoshi provided online lectures on Japanese environmental overview, environmental laws and regulations, environmental analysis and wastewater treatment overview and principles, and the need for maintenance management.
